Rising youngster Chido Obi made history on Sunday by becoming the youngest player to start a Premier League match for Manchester United, taking the field against Brentford at just 17 years and 156 days old.
The Nigerian-born Denmark youth international, who joined United from Arsenal last year, had previously made five league appearances this season, all as a substitute, but is still seeking his first goal for the senior team.

With the fixture falling between the two legs of their Europa League semifinal against Athletic Bilbao, manager Erik ten Hag opted to rest key players, naming a youthful starting XI with an average age of 22 years and 270 days. According to Opta, it ranks as the third youngest Premier League starting lineup in the club’s history.
