Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Aamir Khan and many more Bollywood celebs have got themselves enrolled in the list of ‘pranksters of Bollywood’. But BAAP-of-all remains to be Ajay Devgn. There are numerous stories about the Golmaal star pulling the most hilarious pranks on his co-stars. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Parineeti Chopra and many others have spoken about the pranks pulled by Ajay Devgn. But once, a prank went out-of-control landing a woman in hospital.
In one of the interviews with Mid-Day, Raid 2 actor Ajay Devgn shared a throwback story from when he pulled a prank on the wife of a co-star. He mentioned how his co-star was a newly married and his wife would come to visit him on sets. Ajay Devgn would scare her by saying that her husband has an extramarital affair. He said, “We used to shoot at night. She would obviously meet her husband in the mornings. We would keep feeding the wife that her husband is having an affair. And that, in the night, he goes off somewhere. There are no night shoots! I’d tell her that I return to my room at 10.30 pm.”
Even though the woman knew and had heard about Ajay Devgn pulling pranks, it got all serious when she took pills and had to be rushed to the hospital. “This carried on for eight days. On the ninth day, we woke up and learnt that she had actually taken pills, had to be rushed to the hospital. She’d been fighting with her husband over this, throughout, checking with him on what the hell he’d been up to!” he said.
In one of the other video clips, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty once confessed that they have gone to the extremes to pull pranks. The filmmaker had shared that they have sent a woman and kids to a production team member’s home claiming that they are his wife and kids. The actor admitted that they never thought about who will get offended and added, “Hamare wajah se ek-do divorce bhi ho chuke hai.”
