Raid 2 starring Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh made it to the theatres on May 1. The movie clashed with Nani’s HIT: The Third Case and Retro starring Suriya. Post the pandemic, there is an increased interest in box office numbers of Bollywood films. With South film breaking records at the box office, all eyes are on the numbers minted by Bollywood films. As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Ajay Devgn’s movie is swiftly inching close to Rs 100 crore club. The movie has made around Rs 6.75 crore at the box office on day 6, i.e., first Tuesday. These are the early estimates. The movie managed to hold stable as it earned Rs 7.5 crore on its day 5, i.e., first Monday. The best collection so far came in on first Sunday. The movie made around Rs 22 crore. The amount was higher than its opening day business. On day 3, the movie made around Rs 18 crore, on day 2 it made around Rs 12 crore while on its first day, Raid 2 made around Rs 19.25 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 85.50 crore.
The movie is just a few crores away from entering the Rs 100 crore club with India Net Collection. As per reports, it has already surpassed the mark with its worldwide collection. Raid 2 is now among the top five highest grossing movies of Ajay Devgn that released after the Coronavirus lockdown. Singham Again, Drishyam 2, Shaitaan are among his top films that released in recent times.
Meanwhile, Raid 2 has already surpassed the number made by Akshay Kumar’s recently released movie Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. In 19 days, Kesari Chapter 2 that also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday made around Rs 82.10 crore at the Indian box office.
