Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par has recently launched its trailer on social media. Though the trailer received a good response among people but fans notices that it is a remake of a spanish hit film Champions (Campeones).

For the unversed, the film Champions-directed by Bobby Farrelly was released in 2023. The story revolves around a former minor basketball coach who is tasked by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities.

Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par is an Hindi-language sports comedy, directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The is the spiritual successor to Aamir’s 2007 released film Taare Zameen Par.
Remake
However, as soon as the trailer released Aamir Khan’s fans irked that Sitaare Zameen Par is a frame-by-frame copy of Spanish hit Champions and the scenes from the have been replicated from Woody Harrelson sports drama.

People have shared numerous reactions on social media and also shared the similar scenes from the two films, captioning it a frame by frame copy. Many people also believe that Aamir Khan should stay away from remakes.
Reacting to comparison
Reacting to the online comparison between both the film, one user wrote, “After the Forest Gump fiasco, he should have stayed away from remakes or adaptations.” Another added, “ Luckily Champions is less popular than Forrest Gump, so fewer people may care. But still not a good look.”
Aamir trolled
One of the user trolled Aamir for his perfect and wrote, “Perfectionist in copying the film frame by frame.” Some also defended Aamir Khan’s work and supported him by saying that it is an official work so there shouldn’t be a problem for copying the scene frame by frame.
