Does your car need a condo? In this Fenway garage, you can store your vehicle in style.

Thoreau had his cabin. Twain had his billiards room. Why shouldn’t you?
The Car Vault concept is a garage within a garage. It consists of 20 spaces inside an existing parking garage in the Fenway neighborhood. The roughly 17-foot wide by 17-foot deep model unit (pictured) is two bays that are walled off from the rest of the garage and have a secure door. Inside, there’s a Porsche and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle (not included).
The floor is epoxy, and there’s plenty of cabinetry, tool boxes, a vacuum and compressed air. The walls are lined with vintage car memorabilia.
The remaining two-space units have not yet been built out, but they measure roughly 21 feet wide by 17 feet deep.
This unique condominium development was originally designed by a car enthusiast for other car enthusiasts, but the truth is: buyers needn’t be into cars at all.
“One potential buyer thought he might put a golf simulator in one,” said developer Dave Pogorelc. “Someone could put a home gym in another. Bring your own ideas. What we’re selling is: fun.”
Looking for a man cave? A she shed? Many of Boston’s finest dining, shopping, and entertainment venues are all within about a 1/2-mile radius of the Car Vault, including the shops on Newbury Street, Fenway Park, the House of Blues, and MGM Music Hall. The internet is rife with ideas and themes for she sheds, pub sheds and of course, man caves.
Pogorelc said each space is a condominium, with monthly fees, insurance, and property tax. A single space starts at $200,000 and goes up from there, depending on how it’s built out.
That might sound pricey to some, but a spot in Beacon Hill’s Brimmer Street garage was listed for more than triple that amount.
These car condos are not listed on the MLS. To request a showing, contact listing agent Michael Carucci.
