Temperatures are predicted to drop below zero tonight, and the gritters will be out from 7 pm treating priority routes.

A spokesperson said: “Due to below-zero road temperatures predicted overnight, our gritters will be out from 7pm, treating priority routes.
“Please plan your journey and take care in the wintery conditions.”
Friday is still going to be very cold in its own right, with highs of six degrees and lows of one degree, though it is forecast to have sunny intervals.
