Motorists travelling westbound on Town Quay faced delays after a Range Rover and a lorry collided.
The incident at the entrance of the Red Funnel terminal happened after 12.30pm, according to police.
In a picture shared with the Echo, the Range Rover can be seen with a large dent on the driver’s side.

The wing mirror was also broken off and the driver’s window smashed.
Despite the damage, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed no injuries were reported.
A spokesperson from the force said: “This was reported at 12.44pm and no injuries were sustained.
“No arrests were made.”
