Al-Hilal to launch fresh bid for Osimhen after €40m salary rejection

Date:

Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal are reportedly preparing a renewed bid for Victor Osimhen, despite the Nigerian striker previously rejecting a €40 million annual salary offer from the club.

Al-Hilal remain the only club so far willing to activate Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, which applies solely to clubs outside Italy. However, despite the lucrative financial package, the Napoli forward turned down the move to the Saudi Pro League earlier this summer.

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Al-Hilal are not backing down and plan to return with a new proposal.

The club believes it now has more time to convince the 26-year-old Nigerian striker, especially with no immediate pressure to complete the deal before the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 14.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also keen on signing Osimhen as part of a broader squad rebuild. Since the release clause does not apply to Serie A sides, Juve would need to negotiate directly with Napoli, making any potential deal more complex.

As reported by Sky Italia via Calciomercato, Osimhen has emerged as a top target for Juventus if Dusan Vlahovic departs this summer.

The Bianconeri are also pursuing Manchester City midfielder Ederson, with both players said to be on Manchester United’s radar as well.

Elsewhere, Galatasaray are hoping to make Osimhen’s loan move permanent, but Napoli’s high valuation continues to pose a major stumbling block.

With major interest from Europe and the Middle East intensifying, and Napoli open to a sale, Osimhen’s future is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched transfer stories of the summer window.
