As Muslims across Nigeria and the world mark the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the Accountant General of Nasarawa State has called on residents of the state to offer special prayers for Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, the people of Nasarawa, and the unity of the country.
In a message released on Thursday in Lafia, the state capital, Mohammed emphasised the importance of spiritual reflection during the sacred occasion. He urged Muslims and non-Muslims alike to embrace peace, unity, and compassion, which are core values of the Eid celebration.
“Eid-el-Kabir is a time of sacrifice, gratitude, and devotion. I urge the good people of Nasarawa State to use this period to pray for our Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for God’s continued guidance and wisdom in steering the affairs of the state, he stated.
He noted that the unity of Nigeria is more vital now than ever. He encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and committed to building a stronger, united nation.
The former speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly also extended warm greetings to all Muslim faithful, highlighting the festival as a time for sharing and showing kindness to the less privileged.
While wishing residents a peaceful celebration, Mohammed urged them to celebrate responsibly and continue to support the state government’s developmental agenda.
“Let us continue to work together, in peace and unity, for the growth and prosperity of Nasarawa State and our dear nation,” he said.
