Crystal Palace reached the FA Cup final after a deserved 3-0 victory against Aston Villa at Wembley stadium on Saturday.
Eze unlocked a tense semi-final after 31 minutes, rifling a magnificent drive high past helpless Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from the edge of the penalty area.
Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell miskicked in front of an open goal before the break, while Jean-Philippe Mateta failed to convert from the spot, his penalty glancing off the post.
However, the Eagles continued to press and doubled their lead after 58 minutes, when Sarr produced another stunning moment, advancing powerfully before drilling a low shot from 22 yards into the bottom left corner, with Martinez stretching in vain.
Between the two goals, Palace were indebted to goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who pulled off superb saves from John McGinn and Lucas Digne as Villa searched for an equaliser.
Villa pressed hard but were unable to break down Palace’s superbly organised defence, and Sarr sealed the victory deep in stoppage time, racing clear to beat Martinez once again.
The win means manager Oliver Glasner has led Palace to their third FA Cup final, their first since 2016. They will face either Manchester City or Nottingham Forest in the final.
