SweetWater 420 Fest
Pullman Yards in Kirkwood is hosting the annual weekend of music April 18-20 with The Revivalists, Marcus King, Greensky Bluegrass, Cypress Hill, Drive-By Truckers and more. Tickets are still available.
WRFG Global Drumbeat World Music Festival
An afternoon and evening of music on Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Westside Motor Lounge featuring Jessy Diaz, The Venus Kings, Wontanara Percussion, RastaFunk, and Stan Zeff.
ART
ARTucker Festival
Head to downtown Tucker to enjoy on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for arts, crafts, live music, food and more. This is the 10th anniversary of the community event.
Illumine at Oakland Cemetery
The historic resting place of generations of Atlantans will be aglow April 17-20 and again April 24-27 with light and art installations around the grounds. There will also be music, food and more. Be sure to read our preview and see photos of this year’s show.
Sandy Springs Artsapalooza
More than 100 artists from around the southeast will be on hand for the annual event on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6100 Lake Forrest Dr. There will also be live acoustic music, food, and an Easter egg hunt. See our preview story here.
Chamblee Art Fest
The city is hosting an arts and crafts festival along North Peachtree Road on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also expect food and live entertainment.
EARTH DAY
Earth Day in Midtown
Midtown Alliance is hosting an Earth Day community event at the Midtown MARTA Station featuring an interactive art project made out of garbage to spotlight consumer waste and bring attention to reducing our carbon footprint. There will be live music, food and drinks, and vendors offering eco-friendly products from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Earth Day Fest
East Atlanta Village is hosting a pop-up market, live music, food, and more on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.
Hands On Atlanta
Celebrate Earth Day this year by volunteering with one of Hands On Atlanta’s partners making Atlanta more sustainable for the next generation. There will be volunteer opportunities around the metro from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Atlanta Botanical Garden
The Midtown greenspace will celebrate on Tuesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to noon with activities for kids including music, seed planting, a scavenger hunt, and much more.
EASTER
The Great Swan House Easter Egg Hunt
Children ages 1 to 10. can participate in the Atlanta History Center’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny, balloon artist, strolling magician, sheep shearing, and more.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt at YMCA of Metro Atlanta
The Villages at Carver Family YMCA will host a family-friendly egg hunt with activities and giveaways on Saturday starting at noon.
Easter Sunrise Service
Put on your hiking shoes (or take the Skylift) to the top of Stone Mountain on Sunday for April 20 for two interdenominational sunrise services featuring special guest speakers Bryant Wright and Crawford Loritts. The parking fee is $20, Skylift tickets are $20 or its free to walk up the trail to the summit. Gates will open at 3 a.m. and expect large crowds.
Easter Jazz Brunch
Celebrate Easter Sunday with a delicious Jazz Brunch at Chattahoochee Food Works. There will be live jazz performance, brunch specials from their many food stalls, and a special drink menu.
