Sanicle debuts AI Platform at UN summit to address workplace menstrual and menopause care

Sanicle.cloud, a startup addressing workplace productivity gaps linked to menstrual and menopause health, has announced a $500,000 pre-seed funding round. The platform was unveiled during a landmark event at Columbia University SIPA, held alongside the 69th UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69).

The event featured a three-in-one format: a Femtech Hackathon, the NOVA Awards, and the Beyond Beijing 30 Summit. Attendees included policymakers, corporate leaders, and nonprofit representatives, focusing on innovation in women’s health.

“We’re not building another wellness app,” said Chaste Inegbedion, founder and Chief Period Officer. “We’re building enterprise infrastructure to help companies manage biological risk like financial risk—data-first, ROI-driven, and impact-led.”

Sanicle’s AI-driven dashboard integrates with HR systems to predict productivity dips, healthcare costs, and engagement levels related to menstrual and menopause health. The platform also provides virtual OBGYN access and tools compliant with FSA/HSA benefits.

The femtech sector, which includes digital solutions for women’s health, has attracted over $241 million in venture capital funding. Sanicle’s SaaS model includes white-label tools, enterprise licensing, and anonymised data for ESG and DEI reporting.

The Femtech Hackathon, co-hosted with Femtech Weekend, showcased prototypes using AI to address menstrual health, menopause care, and gender equity gaps. Meanwhile, the NOVA Awards recognised leaders in public health and tech.

Honourees included Gbenga Akingbulere, a software engineer at Palo Alto Networks, known for AI-powered fraud detection tools in Africa. Abisoye Oloruntoba, a fintech expert with experience at JPMorgan and Affirm, was also recognised. Ambassador Shāna Boutté received an award for her work in digital mental health advocacy.

Following its UN debut, Sanicle will present at the 2025 World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings and UNGA80, advocating for menstrual and menopause health in corporate ESG frameworks.

The launch comes amid economic uncertainty, including tariff shifts affecting investor behaviour. Sanicle positions itself as a high-growth opportunity in an emerging market.

With its focus on data-driven solutions, Sanicle aims to transform how employers address women’s health—turning a long-overlooked issue into a measurable workplace strategy.
