The 2025 NFL Draft is now 13 days away.
The Dolphins have the 13th pick. In 2019, they used the 13th pick on Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. This year, they’ve been linked to these players in many mock drafts.
T Kelvin Banks Jr. | Texas
Even before All-Pro left tackle Terron Armstead decided to retire, the team’s offensive line needed an upgrade, which explains why Pro Football Focus’ Dalton Wasserman sends Banks to the Dolphins in his latest mock draft.
Banks earned unanimous All-American honors in 2024 and won the Lombardi Award as college football’s best offensive lineman and the Outland Trophy as the nation’s best lineman overall (OL/DL). He played 42 games at left tackle with Texas, but at 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, many think he’s better suited to play guard.
Of course, the Dolphins took Patrick Paul in the second round of last year’s draft, but Wasserman believes Banks can move inside to left guard if the second-year tackle earns a starting role.
CB Will Johnson | Michigan
ESPN’s Field Yates sees the Dolphins adding to another position of need.
“I know the Dolphins must address their interior offensive line,” but cornerback should not be overlooked,” Yates wrote. “There is a big hole at CB2 in Miami opposite Jalen Ramsey, with Storm Duck and Cam Smith currently listed as options to start.”
Yates sees the 6-foot-2, 202-pound cornerback as the best option for the team’s ninth-ranked secondary. Johnson helped lead Michigan to a national championship with four interceptions in 2023 and returned each of two interceptions for touchdowns in 2024. Altogether, he had nine interceptions in three years at Michigan to go with 68 tackles.
